Job summary

Anglian Water Group Ltd. is seeking a Standards and Resource Governance Lead for its Bioresources assets. You will establish and govern maintenance standards, ensuring competency, authorisation and specialist resources are managed and deployed safely.

This role offers hybrid working across the region with a base at any regional Bioresources site and travel as required. You will shape policy, report on compliance, and work with stakeholders to deliver resilient, risk-based maintenance aligned

Qualifications

• Experience creating or governing maintenance standards, procedures or technical documentation.
• Understanding of competency management, skills matrices, training records and authorisation processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety, regulatory compliance and process safety expectations.
• Ability to assess operational risk and make evidence-based decisions.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear, practical standards and guidance.
• Logical, systematic approach with attention to detail.
• Confidence using digital systems, data and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Own maintenance policy and standards across Bioresources assets (CHP, gas, SRP, sludge treatment).
• Develop, review and govern maintenance standards, procedures and technical documentation.
• Identify gaps and create practical, risk-based, value-driven standards.
• Ensure standards align with regulatory, health and safety, process safety and operational requirements.
• Provide assurance against OEM standards, approved procedures and statutory requirements.
• Create reporting showing compliance, competency and critical maintenance activity.
• Collaborate with responsible teams to address variances and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain competency frameworks, skills matrices, training records and authorisation requirements.
• Define technical and competency requirements for standby, emergency and out-of-hours response.
• Develop resilience plans for critical skills, specialist assets and safety-critical maintenance.
