Job summary

Anglian Water Group is seeking a Standards and Resource Governance Lead to establish and maintain auditable maintenance standards across Bioresources assets. You will drive policy, governance, and competency management while coordinating with technical specialists and operations teams to ensure safe, compliant practices.

The role combines engineering/maintenance knowledge with governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic planning to improve safety, reliability and operational resilience

Qualifications

• Experience governing maintenance standards, procedures or technical documentation.
• Understanding of competency management and training records.
• Knowledge of health and safety and process safety requirements.
• Ability to assess operational risk and make evidence-led decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear standards.
• Structured, detail-oriented, with good data/reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own maintenance policy and standards across Bioresources assets.
• Work with specialists and teams to ensure standards are embedded in plans and instructions.
• Develop, review and govern maintenance standards and documents.
• Identify gaps and create risk-based, value-driven standards.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory and safety requirements.
• Provide assurance against OEM standards and statutory requirements.
• Create reporting on compliance and maintenance activity.
• Collaborate with teams to address variances and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain competency frameworks and training records.
