Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking a Standards and Resource Governance Lead to establish and maintain a consistent, auditable approach to maintenance across Bioresources. You will lead governance of maintenance standards and strengthen competency, authorisation and specialist resource management.

This role blends engineering or maintenance knowledge with governance, stakeholder engagement and strategic thinking to ensure safety, risk-based decision making and alignment with regulatory

Qualifications

• Experience developing or governing maintenance standards and procedures.
• Understanding competency management, skills matrices and training records.
• Knowledge of health, safety, regulatory compliance and process safety.
• Ability to assess operational risk with evidence-based decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and govern maintenance standards, procedures and documentation.
• Identify gaps and create practical, risk-based, value-driven standards.
• Ensure standards align with regulatory, health and safety and process safety requirements.
• Provide assurance against OEM standards, approved procedures and statutory requirements.
• Create reporting showing compliance, competency and critical maintenance activity.
• Work with teams to address variances and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain competency frameworks, skills matrices, training records and authorisation requirements.
• Define technical and competency requirements for standby and emergency maintenance.
• Develop resilience plans for critical skills and safety-critical activities.
