Ninewells-based Maintenance Specialist - Mechanical Decontamination in NHS National Services Scotland is a permanent, full‑time role within the Property Department (Estates Division). The post requires a trained professional to provide decontamination services and maintain related equipment, with regular travel to other sites within Tayside.
The ideal candidate will hold an Apprenticeship, HNC/ONC, City & Guilds or SVQ/NVQ with relevant experience and be prepared to join an on‑call rota.

An opportunity has arisen for the post of Maintenance Specialist - Mechanical Decontamination based at Ninewells, with regular travel and work at other sites within Tayside.
Minimum requirements for the post are a recognised Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ`s with relevant experience.
The Post Holder will act as a fully trained and certificated Mechanical Decontamination Person to provide Mechanical/Disinfection/Sterilization Services to meet the needs of the service.
To Install, Repair and Maintain Mechanical/Decontamination Equipment within all properties
of the Organization in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and
to ensure the smooth operation of the Mechanical/Decontamination Systems within the Organisation.
Participation in an on-call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
