Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an Electrical Decontamination Person based at Ninewells, with regular travel to other NHS sites within Tayside. The role involves providing Electrical/Disinfection/Sterilization services and maintaining decontamination equipment to ensure safe operation.

You will participate in an on-call rota and travel between sites as required, with the necessary inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland to be achieved.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: recognised Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ`s with relevant experience.
• To install, repair and maintain Electrical Decontamination / Equipment within all properties of the organisation to ensure safe operation.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rota and travel between NHS sites as required.

Minimum requirements for the post are a recognised Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ`s with relevant experience.

The Post Holder will act as a fully trained and certificated Electrical Decontamination Person, to provide Electrical/Disinfection/Sterilization Services to meet the needs of the Service.

To Install, Repair and Maintain Electrical Decontamination / Equipment within all Properties of the organisation in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the Electrical/Decontamination Systems within the Organisation.

Participation in an on-call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
