Job summary

NHS Tayside is seeking an Electrical Decontamination Person based at Ninewells with regular travel to other sites within Tayside. The post requires the ability to install, repair and maintain electrical decontamination equipment and to provide disinfection/sterilization services as needed.

The role includes participation in an on-call rota and travel between NHS sites. Mandatory inductions for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland must be achieved and adherence to the Code of Conduct is

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a recognised Apprenticeship, HNC or ONC, City & Guilds, SVQ/NVQ with relevant experience.
• You will be a fully trained and certificated Electrical Decontamination Person.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Electrical Decontamination equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Provide Electrical/Disinfection/Sterilization services as required by the service.
• Travel between NHS sites and participate in an on-call rota.

The Post Holder will act as a fully trained and certificated Electrical Decontamination Person, to provide Electrical/Disinfection/Sterilization Services to meet the needs of the Service.

To Install, Repair and Maintain Electrical Decontamination / Equipment within all Properties of the organisation in order that the equipment can carry out its intended purpose safely, and to ensure the smooth operation of the Electrical/Decontamination Systems within the Organisation.

Participation in an on‑call rota and the ability to travel between NHS sites are required.

You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
