Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is hiring a multi-skilled Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business. The role offers a starting salary of £36,500 with a potential increase to £51,000 after probation, plus a rotating shift pattern and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will perform PPM, fault diagnosis, support improvements, and generate detailed maintenance reports while collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Manufacturing experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, inverter drives and pneumatics.
• Proactive and solution-focused approach.
• Good IT skills including Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Responding to breakdowns and fault diagnosis.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects.
• Producing accurate maintenance reports and root cause analysis.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Supporting installation and maintenance of site equipment and utilities.
• Promoting and maintaining high health & safety standards.
• Liaising with external contractors, suppliers and OEMs.
• Assisting with training and development of colleagues.
