Job summary

Kemp Eko Talent Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a day shift role at a leading manufacturing facility in the UK. You will maintain and improve a range of factory equipment, balancing mechanical and electrical responsibilities to keep production running smoothly.

The role involves planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery, fault finding, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance, quality, and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems on production equipment.
• Strong fault-finding skills across conveyors, pumps, motors and gearboxes.
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all production machinery.
• Ensure equipment runs safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
• Work on conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors and automated production equipment.
• Maintain and repair systems involving electrics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and safety.
• Assist production teams with machine setups, fault finding and training where needed.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly and efficiently. Working across both mechanical and electrical systems, you'll be involved in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a wide range of factory equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across all production machinery
• Ensure equipment is running safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime
• Work on a variety of standard factory machinery including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, and automated production equipment
• Maintain and repair systems involving electrics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce costs, and improve safety
• Assist production teams with machine setups, fault finding, and provide training where needed
