Zenith People are working with our client, a Manufacturer based in the North-East, who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Technician on a permanent basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out repairs to Automated production lines
2. Performing planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the maintenance program
3. Ensuring planned maintenance is scheduled with minimal impact on production
4. Keeping a suitable range of spares in stock for breakdowns
5. Arranging external contractor engineers as needed
6. Performing daily walk rounds to ensure machines are set and running correctly
7. Carrying out all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to standard
8. Maintaining equipment log books and recording machine maintenance
9. Collaborating with the Quality Department on Corrective and Preventative Actions
10. Striving for continuous improvement across the plant
11. Operating machines in Manufacturing and Packing areas
12. Storing tooling and change parts properly to prevent deterioration or damage
13. Inspecting and polishing tooling for the next production run
14. Advising on worn tooling and change parts needing replacement
15. Keeping records and logs of tooling
16. Ensuring tools are in good condition and well maintained
