Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a Planner to liaise with operational Managers, Supervisors and operatives to meet contractual service standards. You will efficiently appoint work, support operatives to hit productivity targets and deliver a maintenance service aligned with KPIs.

You will schedule works, ensure correct trades and appointments, monitor progress to keep WIP under thresholds, and maintain clear records and proactive customer-focused service across the contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering the service operation by optimising direct labour and subcontractor resources.
• Schedule works and allocate correct trades with appropriate appointment slots.
• Ensure appointments are managed geographically to be travel efficient; promote 1st time fix.
• Schedule received works immediately and complete within target timescales.
• Monitor appointments, completions, rejects and contractor information; report failings.
• Monitor workflows and identify follow-on works to manage WIP within targets.
• Produce and communicate WIP updates for routine and void works.
• Maintain a customer-centred approach and drive continuous service improvement.
• Coordinate multi-trade or subcontractor appointments and liaise with supervisors.
• Review diaries to ensure works are ready to commence; manage materials and timescales.
• Assist colleagues with progress on complaints and queries from tenants and staff.
• Liaise with the client to keep relevant databases up to date.
• Assist with gathering supplies/cost data from approved suppliers.
