Job summary

The Hydro Hotel in Llandudno is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Operative to join Alfa HolidayGroup. You will work around 16 hours per week, include weekends, at a fixed rate of £14.96 per hour. You will help maintain guest areas, log issues and support refurbishment projects as needed.

Ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role, strong communication, and a practical, customer-focused approach while prioritising safety and adherence to hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Essential: experience in a similar role, strong communication, problem solving, customer focus.
• Desirable: background in a trade environment, knowledge of travel/hospitality.
• Desirable: passion for the industry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general hotel areas and logs issues promptly.
• Liaise with third party contractors and assist during refurbishment periods.
• Ensure health and safety checks and regular weekly/monthly inspections are completed.

Hotel Maintenance Operativeworking hours:

As a Hotel Maintenance Operative,you will workcirca 16hours per week, including weekends with an hourly rate of £14.96, regardless of age!

Hotel Maintenance Operative Responsibilities:

As a Hotel Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for all general maintenance around the hotel, making sure guest satisfaction is prioritised whist adhering to all health and safety regulations. You will be responsible for logging and fixing issues in guest bedrooms and public areas promptly and efficiently. You will also get involved in larger projects and liaise with third party contractors, if you have a particular area of expertise. Compliance will be a key part of your role, in making sure weekly and monthly checks are completed as required. As we have a rolling program of refurbishments in all our hotels including room and public area upgrades, you will assist during the winter works program to ensure the hotel is well maintained and presentable, ready for the start of a new season.
