Are you a competent and multiskilled Maintenance professional looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a multi-skilled team, providing property maintenance and repair for care homes and other areas of the business. Your responsibilities will include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance such as plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics, and gardening.

You will work across children's homes in Manchester and surrounding areas, performing maintenance and property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete general maintenance and repair tasks in our homes.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as required, collaborating with the wider team.
• Follow health and safety regulations and report issues promptly.
• Willingness to work one Saturday every 6 weeks.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Candidates should have experience in general maintenance, plastering, building, decorating, and basic plumbing, with high standards of work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with powered hand and bench tools.
• Proficiency with IT systems (e.g., Jira).
• Full driving license and flexibility to travel.
