Are you a competent and multiskilled Maintenance professional looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a multi-skilled team, providing property maintenance and repair services to our care homes and other areas of the business. You will perform both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics, and gardening skills.

Department: Estates & Maintenance

Location: Belper - Support Centre

Compensation: £29,485 per year

We are looking for someone confident in carrying out various maintenance and property upkeep tasks across our children's homes in Manchester and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate and complete general maintenance and repairs in our homes.
2. Perform maintenance tasks as required, collaborating with the wider maintenance team.
3. Adhere to health and safety regulations and report issues to management.
4. Willingness to work one Saturday every 6 weeks.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• Experience in all aspects of general maintenance, with high standards of work.
• Proficiency in plastering, building, and decorating.
• Basic plumbing knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with powered hand and bench tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with IT systems, such as Jira.
• Full driving license and flexibility to travel between locations.
