Are you a competent and multiskilled Maintenance professional looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a multi-skilled team, providing property maintenance and repair services to our care homes and other areas of the business. You will perform both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrical work, and gardening.

You should be confident in carrying out a variety of maintenance and property upkeep tasks across our children's homes in South Manchester and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete general maintenance and repairs in our homes.
• Perform additional maintenance tasks as required, collaborating with the wider team.
• Follow health and safety regulations and report issues promptly.
• Work one Saturday every 6 weeks.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Applicants should have experience in all aspects of general maintenance, including plastering, building, decorating, and basic plumbing, and be able to perform these to a high standard.

• Proficiency in the safe use of powered hand and bench tools.
• Excellent communication skills for effective liaison at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using IT systems; experience with Jira is preferred.
• Full driving license and flexibility to travel between sites.
