Are you a competent and multiskilled Refurbishment and Maintenance professional or builder looking for a new challenge? We are seeking an experienced Refurbishment Operative to join our newly created team, refurbishing our children’s homes and schools as part of our expansion plans. You will work as part of a team, conducting planned refurbishment, maintenance, and repair tasks such as plumbing, plastering, painting, basic electrics, and gardening.

We need someone confident in carrying out a range of refurbishment, maintenance, and property upkeep activities, with travel across the region to support our growth. You will report to our Maintenance Manager, Graham, and be part of a team of three.

  • A salary up to £33,000 per annum
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and an additional day off for your birthday

Minimum requirements include:

  • Experience in all aspects of general maintenance and the ability to perform at a high standard
  • Experience in plastering, building, and decorating for comprehensive maintenance services
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing
  • Excellent communication skills for effective liaising at all levels
  • Experience in safe use of powered hand and bench tools
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficiency in IT systems, specifically Jira for managing jobs
  • Full driving license and flexibility to travel, including overnight stays
