NHS seeks a Maintenance Operative-Fabric to support building services maintenance across the NHS in South West London. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and performing various maintenance tasks. A minimum of NVQ Level 2 in carpentry is required, with a salary starting at £28,000.
The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance with all processes, procedures, and policies that meet organisational standards, including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy, HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), and SFG20. Undertake routine planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Team Leader, supporting minor work activities. Perform routine repairs or minor works such as joinery, painting, decoration, general building works, ground works, or plumbing. Maintain accurate site log books at all NHS premises in a timely manner.

We are offering a position for a Maintenance Operative-Fabric based at Mitcham - Wilson Hospital, covering South West London. The role offers a starting salary from £28,000 (dependent on experience) plus on-call allowance. It is a permanent, full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
