A leading company within the NHS is seeking a Maintenance Operative-Fabric to join their team in South West London. The role involves performing a variety of building maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, including joinery, plumbing, and general repairs. This is a full-time, permanent position with an annual starting salary of £28,000 plus on-call allowances and a range of benefits, including a company van and tools provided.
The key function is to support NHS Property Services in delivering building services maintenance and repairs across the NHS to ensure buildings are maintained to the highest standards and to provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, customers, and employees.
Ensure compliance with all processes, procedures, and policies that meet organisational standards, including but not limited to our Health & Safety Policy, HTMs (Health Technical Memoranda), and SFG20. Undertake routine planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Team Leader, supporting minor works. Perform routine repairs or minor works such as joinery, painting, decoration, general building works, ground works, or plumbing. Maintain effective site log books at NHS premises, ensuring they are completed accurately and promptly.

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Operative-Fabric based at Mitcham - Wilson Hospital. The role offers a starting salary from £28,000 (depending on experience) plus on-call allowance. It is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The role is mobile, covering South West London.
