Job summary

Sanctuary Care is hiring a Maintenance Operative for Beechwood Residential Care Home in Worcestershire. The role involves practical training in plumbing essentials and repair practices, maintaining home and garden standards, and coordinating contractor visits.

You will work 39 hours per week at £14.00 per hour, with safeguarding checks required. We support development through feedback, offer a caring, inclusive workplace, and encourage applications from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Must be able to carry out minor repairs and maintain properties to a high standard.
• Good communication with residents, families, colleagues and contractors is essential.
• Safeguarding and pre-employment checks are required, including DBS and overseas checks if needed.
• Comfortable using an iPad or laptop for compliance tasks.

• Carry out regular health and safety checks to keep everyone safe.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, colleagues and contractors.
• Coordinate contractor visits and ensure work meets quality standards.
• Provide cover at other Sanctuary homes when needed.
