Job summary

Pioneer Selection is assisting a busy manufacturing facility in Measham in recruiting a Maintenance Operative on a fixed-term 12-month contract. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across automated production machinery to keep output, quality and yield high.

You will join a small combined production and maintenance team, driving fault diagnosis, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance in a fast-paced setting. Experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance is essential.

Qualifications

Mechanical or Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Time-served apprenticeship or formal qualification within Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
Hands-on experience with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Experience carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs on industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

Job Role of the Maintenance Operative:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Maintenance Operative to join a busy manufacturing facility in Measham. Working as part of a small combined production and maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding and breakdown repairs across a range of automated production machinery.

You will play an important role in maintaining production output, quality and yield by ensuring machinery is maintained and repaired effectively.

Sector - Factory Maintenance

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Maintenance Operative:

Mechanical or Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Time-served apprenticeship or formal qualification within Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
Hands-on experience with planned, preventative and reactive maintenance within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Experience carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs on industrial machinery.

Requirements for the Maintenance Operative:

Good working knowledge of automated production equipment and modern control systems.
Experience working within the UK manufacturing sector
Experience within a highly automated manufacturing environment
Experience completing TPM/PPM activities.
Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental procedures, including LOTOTO.
Able to work independently and as part of a small team, using initiative to make decisions when required.

Desirable Requirements of the Maintenance Operative:

Additional training in areas such as Working at Height, Confined Spaces, COSHH or Silica Awareness.
Experience operating mobile plant or forklift trucks.
