Job summary

ATA Recruitment is working with a market-leading manufacturing business at its flagship site in Measham, North Leicestershire. You will join a highly automated environment to maintain production equipment and improve reliability.

The role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding to component level, and contributing to continuous improvement in a busy production facility with 4 on 4 off days and nights.

Qualifications

• Experienced maintenance engineer in manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills down to component level.
• Good preventative maintenance and repair/rebuild capabilities.
• Qualification at Level 3 engineering or above (City & Guilds/NVQ/BTEC/HNC/HND).

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of automated equipment.
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response.
• Mechanical fault finding to component level.
• Mechanical strip-down and rebuild work.
• Planned and remedial repairs; installation projects.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement.
• Support improvements to reliability and output.

Maintenance Engineer – £60,000 OTE | 4 on 4 Off

• Location: Measham, Leicestershire
• Salary: £57,000 basic + up to £3,000 production bonus (£60,000 OTE)
• Shift: 4 on 4 off, Days & Nights

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a wide range of automated production equipment.

The site operates 24/7 and includes:

• ABB and FANUC robotic systems
• Automated packaging machinery
• Conveyors
• Mixing machinery
• Presses
• Kilns
• Automated production lines
• Mechanical and electromechanical equipment

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
• Mechanical fault finding down to component level
• Mechanical strip-down and rebuild
• Planned and remedial repairs
• Installation and project work
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Continuous improvement activities
• Supporting improvements to equipment reliability and production output

About You

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical background and previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

You should have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a factory or manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience fault finding down to component level
• Experience with mechanical maintenance, repair and rebuild
• A recognised Level 3 engineering qualification or above, such as City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, HNC or HND
• Flexibility to work a 4 on 4 off Days & Nights shift pattern
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
