Job summary

TXM Recruit seeks a Maintenance Operative to join an in-house supermarket maintenance team on a 12-week temp-to-perm scheme. Based across Boston/Market Deeping, you will work autonomously to complete planned maintenance across several stores.

Role offers a 6am–3pm, Monday–Friday schedule with flexiblity for childcare, overtime at 1.5x, and weekend rotations (1-in-4). A van and tools are provided, plus progression routes within the company.

Qualifications

• General maintenance skills including reactive repairs.
• Ability to perform basic carpentry and plumbing tasks.
• Experience with safety and compliance checks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in stores (toilets, shop floor, communal areas).
• Carry out light duties: lightbulbs, taps, doors, plastering, painting, plumbing.

Maintenance Operative

TXM Recruit are currently looking for a maintenance operative to work for an inhouse supermarket maintenance team on a 12-week temp to perm scheme. This role will be based with autonomous working completing planned maintenance across a few stores.

Location

Boston / Market Deeping

Salary

£29,328.86/yr or £14.01/ph

Hours

6am to 3pm - Monday to Friday (Can be flexed slightly for childcare etc)

Weekends

1-in-4 weekend shift (1.25x rate for Sunday)

Overtime

Overtime is there at 1.5x

Duties

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).
• Building inspections including roof walks and building checks to exterior
• Cark Park checks – drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards
• There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails. Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.
