The Role of a Maintenance Operative

The maintenance operative is responsible for domestic repairs, maintenance of the premises, minor projects, and site compliance.

• Ensure all areas are safe, welcoming, clean, hygienic, and in good repair, considering the needs of students
• Maintain high standards of record keeping and reporting
• Participate in quality audits
• Address contractor works that fall below standards
• Ensure compliance with national regulations and inspection standards
• Manage workload proactively and effectively
• Coordinate with the Regional Facilities Manager on larger projects
• Identify projects to improve the facility's image, functionality, and efficiency
• Complete projects on time and leave contractor areas in good condition
• Maintain the grounds

What you will bring
