Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Operative to support a leading facilities company on multiple commercial contracts in the London area. You will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with door-to-door pay and on-call duties every 1 in 4 weeks for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving license required or essential.
• NVQ in a trade would be ideal/desirable.

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in store areas including toilets, shop floor and communal spaces.
• Replace lightbulbs, taps, toilet seats; hanging doors; repairs to shelves; patch plastering, rendering, painting or minor carpentry/plumbing.
• Carry out PPMs such as Legionella checks and Fire Alarm/Sprinkler testing (training provided).
• Conduct building inspections including roof walks and exterior checks.
• Carry out car park checks (drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards).
• Update daily on PDA/tablet; report issues, HS notes, and emails as required.

Job description

TXM Recruit are currently recruiting for a mobile Maintenance Operative to work for one of the UKs leading facilities companies on a plethora of their commercial contracts.

Schedule - Monday to Friday

Working hours - 40 hours flexible (Door to Door pay)

On Call - 1 in 4 weeks on call. - This is for emergencies only.

Salary - £34,271/yr.

Location - South West London

Extra - Overtime available

As a Maintenance Operative your duties will be but not limited to

• General reactive maintenance in store from toilets, shop floor and communal areas.
• This may include changing lightbulbs, replacing taps or toilet seats hanging doors or fixing shelves. Patch plaster. rendering, painting or minor carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• PPMs such as Legionella, Fire Alarm Testing, Sprinkler Testing (training provided).
• Building inspections including roof walks and building checks to exterior
• Cark Park checks - drain covers, trolley shelters, bollards
• There will be daily duties to ensure the tablet is updated, this may be reporting issues, H&S notes or sending emails. Technology will be used in the form of a PDA Tablet and Company provided Smartphone.
