Job summary

Catch 22 is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Operative to cover stores mainly in North London. You will travel between sites in a company van and carry out multi-skilled maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet metalwork and electrical work.

The role requires a full UK driving license, 3–5 years' experience, and a commitment to safety, quality, and working both independently and with a team. A competitive salary and vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have full UK driving licence.
• 3–5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Understand basic safety rules for tools and equipment.
• Proficient with ladders, solvents and paint cleaners.
• Able to perform pre-use safety inspections.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out plumbing, carpentry, painting and sheet metalwork tasks.
• Carrying out electrical work as part of maintenance.
• Other tasks assigned by line manager and head of department.

Our client, a large Storage company are looking for a full time MobileMaintenance Operative,where you will based at your nearest store to home but will be required to travel from site to site mainly in North London in a company van provided.

The role of the Maintenance Operative is to provide a high quality and effective maintenance and repair service to their stores. You will carry out a multi-tasking role safely and to a large extent unsupervised, and have the ability to recognise any task which you consider outside your skill base. You will be responsible for maintaining a high quality of work and act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Main duties of the of the Mobile Maintenance Operative:

• Plumbing
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Sheet Metalwork - repairing storage units
• Electrical
• Other tasks - assignedby the line manager and head of department

Who are we looking for:

• Must have full UK driving licence
• Min 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Understanding of basic safety rules in connection with the safe use of tools and safety equipment
• Fluent knowledge in the safe use of ladders
• Fluent knowledge in the safe use of solvent, paint cleaners
• An understanding of manual handling and lifting techniques
• The ability to carry out pre-use safety inspections of tools and equipment

In return a client is offering a competitive salary up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience with a company vehicle with tools.

Full time - min of 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (may be required to work occasional weekends if an emergency occurs)
