Job summary

TXM Recruit is recruiting a Maintenance Operative for a leading UK facilities company. The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours, with door-to-door pay and on-call rotated every fourth week for emergencies.

Location is South West London, with overtime opportunities and a salary of £34,271 per year. You'll perform reactive maintenance across stores, carry out minor repairs, and participate in PPMs and inspections.

Qualifications

• Time-served, hands-on experience in multiple trades (fabric maintenance preferred).
• NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant trade required.
• Full UK driving license is essential.

Responsibilities

• General reactive maintenance in store areas (toilets, shop floor, communal areas).
• Carry out tasks such as changing lightbulbs, taps, toilet seats; patch plaster and basic carpentry/plumbing.
• Perform PPMs including Legionella and Fire Alarm Testing (training provided).
• Conduct building inspections including roof walks and exterior checks; park/drive checks and safety inspections.
• Update tablet reports and correspondence; use PDA/tablet and company smartphone daily.
