Customer Care Maintenance Operative - New Homes

Location: Suffolk (travel to local sites)

Hours: Monday - Friday

Salary: Competitive

Package: Company van + fuel card + bonus scheme + tools/PPE + additional benefits

About the Role

We're looking for a Customer Care Operative with a carpentry bias to join our expanding new homes aftercare team in Suffolk. You'll attend recently occupied properties to complete remedial works, resolve snags, and provide an exceptional customer experience for new homeowners.

This is a field-based role, working across multiple new-build developments, carrying out high-quality multi-trade repairs and representing the business professionally at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend customer homes to carry out aftercare repairs and snagging
  • Deliver a range of multi-skilled tasks including:
    • Carpentry (primary skill)
    • Basic tiling and grouting
    • Painting & decorating
    • Basic plumbing fixes
    • General “making good”
  • Work efficiently to diagnose issues and complete repairs to a high standard
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain clear communication with office and site teams
  • Keep accurate records using a phone/tablet
  • Adhere to health & safety procedures on all occupied and unoccupied sites
About You
  • Time-served carpenter or strong carpentry background
  • Experience working on new-build homes (customer care/aftercare desirable)
  • Confident carrying out multi-trade repairs
  • Professional, polite and customer-focused
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Able to work independently and manage daily workload
