Job summary

Potens Group is recruiting two Maintenance Operatives to service sites across Merseyside and Central England. You will perform general maintenance, repair building fabric, install kitchens/bathrooms, and conduct basic plumbing and minor electrical works.

A UK driving licence is essential, with on-call duties and contractor liaison included. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including pension, employee assistance, learning opportunities, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Qualified or experienced in Plumbing, Joinery, Legionella, or Asbestos Awareness.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain properties to a high, compliant standard in line with health & safety regulations.
  • Carry out general maintenance and repairs across building fabric and fixtures.
  • Install and refurbish kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Complete basic plumbing and minor electrical works.
  • Maintain external areas including grounds and fencing.
  • Conduct fire safety and security checks.
  • Support site operations, deliveries, and removals.
  • Liaise with and oversee contractors.
  • Provide responsive reactive maintenance, including participation in an on-call rota.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Adhere to company policies and all relevant legislation, including health & safety and data protection
Who You Are
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Qualified or experienced in a relevant trade (e.g. Plumbing, Joinery, Legionella, Asbestos Awareness)
  • Skilled in general maintenance with a proactive, hands-on approach
  • Able to work independently, manage workload, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices
  • Reliable team player with good communication skills
  • Committed to high standards and upholding company values
