Job summary

David Lloyd Clubs is seeking a Maintenance Operative to join our Teesside team. The role carries a pay rate of £14.00 per hour and focuses on ensuring equipment remains fully functional for members and staff, with safety at the forefront, seven days a week.

You will bring technical skills in carpentry, plumbing or electrical work, and hold a Pool Plant Operators Qualification (STA or similar). A full driving licence to travel between clubs is also important.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence or ability to travel between clubs within your region.
• Strong engagement, communication and active listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service club equipment to ensure safe operation for members and staff.
• Keep facilities and machinery in good working order to support a high‑quality member experience seven days a week.
• Prioritise safety and uphold the club's standards of cleanliness and upkeep.
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive culture and support teammates as part of a premium wellness group.

About you:

As a Maintenance Operative, we are looking for someone:

• Who has technical skills or discipline (i.e. Carpentry / Plumbing / Single Phase Electrics) – Essential

• Pool Plant Operators Qualification (STA or similar)

• A full driving licence or the ability to travel efficiently between clubs within your region

• Strong engagement, communication and active listening skills.
