Responsibilities
- Provide proactive maintenance support across designated sites to minimize downtime
- Promote a culture of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental responsibility
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and support long-term improvements
- Maintain critical spare parts and update work on the CMMS system
- Complete PPM tasks and follow up on remedial work
- Collaborate with the team on plant maintenance and condition monitoring
- Share learnings and attend training to ensure compliance
Candidate Profile
- Driving license required; van provided for site travel
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent
- Extensive experience in heavy engineering and mobile plant maintenance, including earth-moving equipment
- Skilled in fault-finding and repairing excavators, shovels, forklifts, and cranes
- Strong background in mobile plant fitting; hydraulic systems expertise preferred
- Electrical diagnostics skills desirable
- Understanding of plant operation, maintenance practices, and electrical safety
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification preferred
- Ability to work independently and travel between sites; own tools highly desirable
