Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience of working as a maintenance plant fitter, as well as possess good knowledge and understanding of mobile plant machinery and equipment. Ideally, you will be apprentice trained in construction/agricultural plant maintenance or be a time served mechanical fitter. Working hours shift Monday– Friday.

What You Will Be Doing:
  1. Monitor, fault-find, maintain, and repair equipment (hydraulic power packs, pumps, gearboxes, conveyor systems, treatment machinery).
  2. Conduct scheduled machinery checks and routine maintenance (oiling, cleaning).
  3. Replace parts based on service intervals.
  4. Check and calibrate equipment for accuracy.
  5. Maintain detailed service and maintenance records.
  6. Identify, document, and investigate machine damage and faults.
  7. Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
  8. Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding methods as required.

About You:
  1. Relevant experience in servicing and repairing heavy plant and machinery.
  2. Full driving licence required; company van provided for site visits.
  3. Able to work independently, managing time and workload effectively.
  4. Communicate effectively with plant operators, site personnel, and customers & build and maintain strong working relationships.
  5. Adhere to company policies and health & safety procedures.
  6. Work to high standards with strong attention to detail.
