Training to Master Technician

Job summary

AutoSkills United Kingdom is seeking a skilled technician to service, maintain and repair commercial rental vehicles on a Monday to Friday schedule with no weekend shifts. The role offers a structured training programme with progression to Master Technician and regular salary reviews.

You will inspect systems, diagnose faults, carry out repairs and test drive vehicles where appropriate, using your NVQ Level 2 or 3 and experience with HGVs/LCVs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicles is required.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a proactive, detail-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial rental vehicles.
• Inspect vehicle systems and components to ensure safety and correct operation.
• Identify worn or defective components and carry out repairs or replacement.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Test drive vehicles where appropriate and where the correct driving licence is held.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with HGVs, LCVs or commercial vehicles
• Full UK, Irish or EU Class C or CE manual driving licence
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• A proactive and detail-focused approach
