Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Nottingham is seeking a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician to join our busy workshop team on a permanent contract, with the potential to earn up to £60 including overtime.

You’ll work full-time (39.5 hours) on a rotating shift pattern, with a salary package that includes a shift allowance, weekend supplements, a welcome bonus of up to £1,500, and a strong pension and training plan.

Qualifications

• Qualified mechanic with Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle (or equivalent).
• Experience maintaining and repairing a range of vehicles is desirable.
• Ability to work across rotating shifts and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs on light and heavy vehicles.
• Access specialist tooling and shared equipment in modern workshops.

We're recruiting a Level 3 qualified mechanic at NottinghamWorkshop on a Permanentcontract, with the potential to earn up to £60 including overtime.

Working Hours:

Full time - 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern; week 1: 06:00 - 14:00, week 2: 06:00 - 14:00 and week 3: 13:30- 22:00). You will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays (with a weekday day off)

You’ll perform a full range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.

You’ll use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles.

You’ll also have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops.

A bit about you

• Qualified mechanic: you're fully qualified to an advanced level (Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent). You've got your own toolkit for standard repairs.
• Varied vehicle experience: Proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV.
• Valid UK driving licence: You hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience.
• High working standards: you take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively.
• Flexible to service demands: you're able to work on a flexible shift rota. You're always willing to support your team where necessary.
