Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a leading manufacturing site in Grays. The role pays £75,000-£85,000 per annum with Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, and 25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.

You will lead and develop the site maintenance function, drive improvements in planning, reliability and backlog management, and collaborate with Operations to raise plant performance and standards.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or HND required.
• Significant process-industry experience (chemical, oil & gas, pharma, power, energy-from-waste, paper).
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements, Permit to Work and LOTO.
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement.
• IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent safety qualification.
• Awareness of LOLER, PUWER, COSHH and PSSR legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and planning teams to deliver safely and effectively.
• Develop personnel through training, cross-training, performance management and allocation.
• Improve planning, scheduling, PPM compliance and backlog performance.
• Develop site spares management and Stores processes.
• Oversee planning and scheduling of site Turnarounds.
• Ensure effective use of CMMS for planning, issuing and reporting work.
• Ensure technicians are trained and competent in RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Manage third-party contractors to ensure safe completion to standards.
• Monitor performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with Operations and Site Leadership to improve reliability and site standards.
