The Milton Keynes leisure contract includes two busy centres with a wet and dry leisure centre, a golf course, and a driving range.

The position involves working alongside Centre Managers to oversee maintenance services within the contracts, focusing on maintaining high standards and providing excellent leisure facilities.

Primary objectives for the Maintenance Manager include:

• Supporting the Contract Manager in managing the facilities management contract.
• Managing daily site maintenance and planning scheduled maintenance projects, ensuring timely delivery and value for money.
• Coordinating facilities management functions and optimizing contractor and consultant performance.
• Traveling between centres to perform duties.
• Maintaining essential records, including asset registers, compliance, and safety documentation.

Additional responsibilities:

• Advising on repair issues and resolving them cost-effectively, with technical reporting as needed.
• Coordinating health and safety, fire safety, and quality assurance systems.
• Assisting in maintaining building and equipment operations.
• Planning maintenance work to minimize disruption, communicating with client departments.
• Supporting project management and assessing project impacts on operations.

The Candidate

Qualifications & skills:

• Technical understanding of building services, electrical, and mechanical maintenance.
• Experience in statutory compliance, managing maintenance contracts and teams, with a focus on productivity and quality.
• Ability to drive operational improvements and efficiencies.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and contract performance management skills.
• Excellent organization, people management, and attention to detail.
• Proven project and contractor management experience.
• A management background with strong client relationship skills across multiple sites.
