Job summary

Berkley Care Group is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our luxury care home in Leicester. You will lead a maintenance team, oversee planned and reactive works, and ensure the home is kept to the highest standards of presentation and safety.

We value a compassionate, solutions-focused leader with hands-on skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting and grounds care. Competitive hourly rate and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a wide range of maintenance skills.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a luxury care setting.
• Experience leading a small team and coordinating contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the maintenance team to deliver high standards of care home upkeep.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, safety inspections and audits.
• Manage budgeting and scheduling to ensure timely completion of works.

What we are looking for:

• An individual who is caring and patient and has a compassionate nature

• An individual who works to the highest standard ensuring the maintenance and presentation of a luxury care home

Do you have the following?

• Previous management experience in maintenance
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a wide range of maintenance skills, including proficiency in plumbing, electricity, carpentry, painting, decorating and garden maintenance
• Attention to detail to present the home and grounds in excellent condition
• Strong leadership skills with the experience to motivate, develop and delegate to others and be part of a supportive team
• Proven planning and budgeting experience with excellent attention to detail
• Good organisational, communication and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
• The skills and experience to carry out health and safety inspections and audits
