Job summary

Berkley Care Group in Reading is seeking a Hospitality Assistant to bring hospitality skills into a care setting, delivering light meals and friendly service to residents and families.

The role is part-time with alternating weekends, 8-4pm or 10:30am-6:30pm, paid breaks, and opportunities for on-the-job training and development within a nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve light meals, snacks and drinks for residents and families.
• Ensure dining and bar areas are clean, welcoming and well-presented.
• Provide the best dining experience for residents and families in all settings.
• Ensure a good selection of drinks and snacks is available at all times.
• Assist residents in preparing food and drinks and respect dietary needs and preferences.
• Help organise and support special events and celebrations.

Are you able to provide the following hospitality services?:

• Prepare and serve light meals, snacks and drinks for residents and their families
• Ensure that all dining and bar areas are clean, well-presented and welcoming
• Provide the best dining experience for residents and their families in all settings
• Ensure that there is a good selection of drinks and snacks available at all times
• Help residents to prepare their food and drink when they want to
• Provide residents with the support to make their own food and drink choices, catering to their dietary requirements and preferences
• Assist in the organisation and preparation of special events and celebrations
