Job summary

SRG is seeking an experienced Section Manager for a major distribution operation in Avonmouth. You will lead a team of engineering technicians and tradespeople to maintain site assets safely, efficiently and in line with legislation.

This role drives operational excellence and develops high-performing teams to support maintenance strategies and business performance. The role requires extensive experience in distribution/retail maintenance, strong HSE knowledge including Legionella, LOLER, PUWER

Qualifications

• Extensive maintenance leadership experience in large operations.
• Proven ability to lead multi-skilled maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
• Experience with CDM regulations and audits.
• Experience with BMS and CAFM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance delivery across area of responsibility.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and contractors.
• Drive high-performance culture, safety, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance, safety, and assurance requirements are met.
• Conduct maintenance audits and governance activities.
• Lead, coach and develop engineering team.
• Support budget management and capital planning.
• Oversee PPM and statutory maintenance activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives.
