Job summary

Lancer Scott in Bristol is seeking a general labourer to support the University of the West of England (UWE) maintenance team. You will help complete pre-planned and reactive repairs across a broad estate, including accommodation, academic and catering facilities.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering groundworks and bricklaying, sourcing parts, and maintaining records. You will work with the Helpdesk, use PDAs, and follow all safety and regulatory requirements while upholding high

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and completing groundworks and brickwork across the UWE estate.
• Source parts and materials and seek manufacturer technical support as needed.
• Finish tasks within agreed timescales to high standards and compliant with regulations.
• Record procedures and maintenance logs; implement control measures to minimise risks.
• Use PDAs or electronic devices to document works and updates.
• Liaise with Helpdesk to ensure timely response to tasks, solo or in a team.
• Observe health and safety practices and carry out risk assessments for each task.
