Zusammenfassung

Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd, based in Sheffield, is recruiting a Maintenance Fitter to join the Maintenance Engineering team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on planned preventative maintenance, plant installation support, and shutdown planning within a heavy forge setting.

The ideal candidate is apprentice-trained with a mechanical bias, experienced in hydraulics and mobile plant maintenance, and able to work independently as well as in a team.

Qualifikationen

• Apprentice-trained Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias.
• Experience working within a heavy forge environment.
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics, ideally Oilgear Tower.
• Mobile plant maintenance skills, including manipulators, FLTs and OHC.
• Experience of breakdown maintenance on presses, hammers, lathes and bores would be ideal.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of the wider Maintenance team.

Aufgaben

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Support the installation of new plant.
• Plan mechanical maintenance tasks for completion during scheduled shutdowns.
• Support the development and upgrading of existing equipment.
• Work safely and effectively in line with company safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Complete any other reasonable duties as required by the department.
