Job summary

Impression Recruitment is seeking a General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson in Harrogate to support the upkeep, security and appearance of the site. The role covers repairs, facility services and events preparation, with a Monday–Friday 35-hour week.

The successful candidate will have maintenance or caretaking experience, a full clean driving licence, and good health and safety awareness. A reliable, flexible approach and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, caretaking or handyperson experience.
• Comfortable with health & safety procedures including COSHH.
• Reliable, flexible and physically capable.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs, plumbing, heating, painting and maintenance
• Secure buildings and respond to alarms and emergency call outs
• Identify and report hazards and defects
• Prepare rooms for events and meetings
• Assist with deliveries, waste and recycling
• Respond appropriately to emergencies
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and site procedures
