Job summary

PRS LTD is recruiting for a Maintenance Handyperson to join our estates team across two educational facilities in Northumberland. This temporary ongoing role offers around 37 hours per week, with early/late shifts (0600-1400, 10:30-18:30, etc.).

Role: Maintenance Handyperson
Type: Temp Ongoing
Location: Northumberland (x2 sites)
Rate: £13.91/hr plus HP
We are recruiting for a Maintenance Handyperson to join an estates team on two prestigious educational facilities in the Northumberland region.
The role is a temporary ongoing position role with a view to move to a temp to perm.
Paying £13.91/hr PAYE pus holiday pay etc.
The position is circa 37 hours per week Mon-Fri with a shift pattern. (Early/Lates/Days) - details below:
0600-1400 and either Mon&Thurs 1230-2030 or Tues/Wed&Fri1030-1830
Early - 6am to 2pm
Lates - Monday & Wednesdays - 10:30-18:30, Tuesdays & Thursdays - 13:30-21:30 Fridays 11:00-18:30.
Days - 8am to 4 pm

Handyperson, Maintenance Description:

• Carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks across the estates
• Supporting the upkeep of buildings, grounds, and facilities
• Assisting with site security and opening/closing procedures
• Undertaking basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and maintenance duties
• Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Supporting health and safety compliance across the site
• Assisting with room setups and college events where required
• Working as part of the wider estates and facilities team

Requirements:

• Driving licence and car - essential
• Previous maintenance, facilities, caretaking, estates, or site experience
• Good practical and DIY skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices
• Reliable, professional, and flexible approach
• Good communication skills
• Live DBS service
