Job summary

Bostik is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at our Leicester manufacturing site. The role reports to the Site Manager and focuses on safe, reliable operation, capital projects, and continuous improvement.

We require a hands-on engineer with strong people management skills, a track record of improving equipment reliability, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years' engineering/maintenance experience in UK manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of engineering or maintenance teams.
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent HSE qualification.
• Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, plant reliability and manufacturing operations.
• Experience managing engineering budgets and CAPEX projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and motivate the Engineering and Maintenance team to achieve operational objectives.
• Oversee maintenance activities to maximise uptime and efficiency.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programmes for manufacturing equipment.
• Conduct safety audits ensuring compliance with HSE standards.
• Manage CAPEX projects delivering on time and within budget.
• Recruit, train and mentor engineering staff; oversee apprentices.
