Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is partnering with a leading UK manufacturer to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for Severnside 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days & 2 nights, 7-7) in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. You will maintain and improve cutting-edge production equipment in a fast-paced environment and contribute to uptime and reliability.

The ideal candidate will have an engineering apprenticeship and experience in manufacturing maintenance with a mechanical/electrical bias, strong diagnostic and problem

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical/Electrical bias with multiskilled capability.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, front-line reactive maintenance and get equipment back into service quickly.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical/electrical systems.
• Lead shift-based problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement cost-effective improvements to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Support audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach operators on asset care tasks and collaborate as part of a high-performing team.
