Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment in Droitwich is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep cutting-edge production equipment running in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires front-line reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and contributing to efficiency improvements.

This permanent position offers a 4-on-4-off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 7-7) with a salary of £50,000–£52,000 per annum, plus a 5% annual bonus, pension, life assurance, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, front-line reactive maintenance and get equipment back into service quickly.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical/electrical systems.
• Lead shift-based problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Identify and implement cost-effective improvements to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Support audits, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coach operators on asset care tasks and collaborate as part of a high-performing team.
