Travail Employment Group is supporting a unique manufacturing business near Melton Mowbray in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the packing area. The role is permanent, with rotating Earlies and Lates Monday to Friday, and a salary up to £40,000 per annum plus benefits.

You will work with a skilled engineering team, use RCA to prevent issues, deliver improvements, perform PPMs, and document work on the Agility system.

Qualifications

Apprentice trained multi-skilled engineer with manufacturing experience.
Health & Safety awareness.
Adaptable to meet business demands and seasonal fluctuations.

Responsibilities

Feedback ideas for improvement.
Identify and implement improvement projects.
Use RCA techniques to prevent recurring issues.
Share learnings with other shifts and update the shift lead on workload.
Respond to critical breakdowns with quick, effective repairs.
Carry out effective PPMs and review PPMs to ensure effectiveness.
Complete necessary reports and paperwork for work completed.
Document jobs on the Agility system with all relevant information.

Working for a truly unique business, our award-winning client are now seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their Packing area, with a dedicated team of engineers who manage the highly specialised equipment in their factories, near Melton Mowbray, Leics.

It is a well-invested site with many new machines including equipment that has been specifically developed for portioning and packaging. The future will see substantial investment to further secure our future and support growth.

As Maintenance Engineer:

Feedback ideas for improvement.
Identify and implement improvement projects.
Use RCA techniques to prevent recurring issues.
Share learnings with other shifts and actively update shift lead on workload.
Respond to critical breakdowns ensuring a quick, effective solution and repair.
Carry out effective PPMs and review PPMs to ensure they are effective and suitable.
Complete necessary reports and paperwork for work completed.
Complete jobs on the Agility system ensuring that all relevant information is included to support with similar future problems and RCAs etc.

What we are looking for in a Maintenance Engineer,

Apprentice trained multi skilled Engineer / Electrical Engineer / Electrician – or experience in a manufacturing environment.
Health & Safety awareness.
Adaptable/flexible to meet requirements and demands of the business and seasonal fluctuations.
Good level of accuracy and numeracy when completing records.

Hours are rotating earlies and lates shifts - Monday to Friday – Alternating Earlies (06:00 – 14:00) and Lates (14:00 – 22:00)

Whilst fixing breakdowns is a key part of the job, you will spend a significant amount of time in developing improvements and supporting the strategy of investment and installation of new equipment.

Yes, as a Maintenance Engineer, you will be reacting to breakdowns and fixing problems, but you will also have the opportunity to help with capital project installations.
