Location: Manchester and the surrounding areas

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – Minimum of 40 hours per week

Vent Engineering specializes in natural and smoke ventilation systems, manufacturing, supplying, installing, and commissioning ventilation systems since 1988.

About The Role:

We seek experienced maintenance engineers for sites in Manchester and nearby areas to perform routine reactive and planned maintenance of our life safety smoke control systems.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday during standard business hours, with early starts for some sites and occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test, repair, inspect, and maintain natural and mechanical smoke ventilation systems
• Document tasks and relevant information in detailed service reports
• Coordinate with clients to resolve defects and suggest solutions to prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with the maintenance department to identify sales opportunities

About You:

Ideal candidates are organized, methodical, possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, flexibility, effective reporting, and high attention to detail.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Fault finding experience
• Knowledge of electrical circuits in control panels
• Full driving license (max 6 points)
• 18th Edition Electrical qualification or equivalent
• Site experience, preferably with ECS or CSCS Card
