Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in the United Kingdom (St Helens) is seeking a maintenance engineer with a strong mechanical bias to attend breakdowns, fault-find and service machinery within an electrically biased team. You will perform preventative and routine maintenance on conveyors, pumps, furnaces, vacuum systems and compressed air, aiming to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

This role offers hands-on engineering on a busy site with opportunities to contribute to CI projects and automation

Qualifications

The role requires a strong mechanical bias maintenance engineer to attend breakdowns, fault find and service machinery.

Responsibilities

Plan and carry out preventative maintenance to keep equipment safe and clean.
Carry out routine and emergency maintenance on conveyors, sensors/switches, pumps, furnaces/ovens, vacuum systems & compressed air systems.
Equipment downtime must be kept to an absolute minimum through timely fault diagnosis and rectification.
Maintain engineering stock control, complete regular audits, ensure tools and consumables are well maintained, stored and clean.
Health and Safety will be the highest priority at all times while ensuring site equipment complies with HSE regulations.
Deliver KPI targets set within the Engineering department.
Work within a team of Maintenance Engineers to complete tasks within automation.
Involvement in CI & project work.
