Job summary

EMR Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to maintain fixed plant, carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, and support reliability goals. You will fault-find on motors, drives, PLCs, control panels, conveyors, and associated equipment, using CMMS for records and adhering to LOTOTO and safe isolation procedures.

The role is site-based with Monday–Friday hours and overtime to support production needs; collaboration with mechanical engineers

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and fault-finding on industrial electrical systems in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and electrical fault diagnosis.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Maintenance.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs on fixed plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults on electrical systems including motors, drives, control panels, conveyors, shredders, balers, and associated plant equipment.
• Maintain and fault-find on three-phase power systems, control circuits, PLCs, inverters, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Complete and maintain all maintenance records and documentation using the CMMS system.
• Demonstrate an understanding and application of safe isolation and LOTOTO procedures.
• Work safely in accordance with company policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
• Follow OEM maintenance schedules, technical documentation, and company procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, contractors, and operational teams to minimise disruption to production.
