Aufgaben

• Perform electro-mechanical repairs on PLC-controlled plant and handling/conveying equipment.
• Maintain plant facilities and services, including compressed air.
• Input and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance routines.
• Assist operations to achieve targets.
• Collaborate with suppliers on new equipment, installations and modifications.
• Keep work areas clean and compliant, including workshop and stores.
• Input data into CMMS and maintain records of changes and transactions.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC-controlled plant, handling and conveying equipment, also pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
• Maintain the plant facilities and services, including compressed air
• Input to and carry out Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Routines
• Support the operations team in achieving targets
• Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
• To be observant & work off your own initiative when a fault is detected & to take action based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or not
• To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including any transit areas to and from the workshop, including the workshop and stores
• Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies
• Participate in the inputting of the maintenance management system (CMMS), records of all changes, stores transactions made and work carried out

Person Specification:

• Trades qualification Electrical with good Mechanical Knowledge.
• Multi-skilled / cross-skilled ethos
• Aptitude for process awareness, diagnostic / trouble-shooting experience gained in a Hi-volume environment
• Good team player that can use their initiative
• Computer skills an advantage
