Job summary

Greencore Wisbech is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support our nights shift operations. You will perform fault finding and preventive maintenance on critical plant and equipment to maximise uptime.

Working on a permanent night shift pattern (4 on 4 off), you will collaborate with the operations team, maintain safety and quality standards, and drive continuous improvement across the site. The role requires an accredited apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification, with strong diagnostic skills

Qualifications

• Experience as an engineer with an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent Level 3 qualification.
• Proven diagnostic and fault-finding abilities on plant and equipment.
• Ability to plan daily activities and coordinate with the shift team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault finding and preventative maintenance to maximise plant reliability.
• Diagnose problems and implement route cause fixes promptly.
• Maintain clear communication with operations about maintenance activities.
• Respond to internal customer needs to maximise production uptime.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and controls.
• Record stock movements and manage documentation for audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve health, safety and operational efficiency.
